A native of the Bahamas, Head Coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin, also known as Coach Yo, in her five years as head of the University of Mississippi women’s basketball program has returned Ole Miss to national prominence.
Throughout her coaching career, Yolett has impacted every community in which she has coached, emphasizing an importance on community engagement both through service and via dialogue with fans and supporters. Yolett puts an emphasis on teaching, developing and inspiring through character-building and leadership, best displayed by her trademark motto, NoCeilings™.
NoCeilings™ serves as a rallying cry within her program and to those familiar with her in the community, emphasizing living life without limits focusing on what can be achieved on the court and in life. Through her non-profit foundation, No Ceilings with Coach Yo, Yolett also advocates for child development through education and athletics.
Featured in major publications such as New York Times, USA Today, Wall Street Journal, the Athletic, Yolett has also been speaker in high demand for Fortune 500 companies and organizations such as CBS Sports, NIKE, NCAA, Wall Street Journal and Toastmasters International.
Born on April 30, 1982, the former Yolett McPhee and her husband, Kelly McCuin, have two daughters: Yasmine and Yuri.
