The Story Behind No Ceilings

When I was an assistant at Clemson my players knew that I was getting ready to be a head coach and so one of them asked me what my saying will be. Back then it was popular, that if you had a program, you had a saying. A hashtag. So I said well, I don’t really know and she said it should be "No Ceilings"  because every time we feel like we’ve gotten somewhere you’d push us even more, so there's really no break. And I took it and so that’s how I came up with the name. 

When I got my first head coaching job, I started to think about what "No Ceilings" really meant to me. "No Ceilings" really means that there’s just no limit to anything that one wants to achieve. With hard work, with their faith, with having good people around them and specifically for women and people of color especially in America but women in the world. 

We’re told that there is a ceiling on what we can do and I want to empower people to not put a cap on anything that they want to do, that they're passionate about. To go ahead and live their dreams. And that’s what "No Ceilings" is about.
