For Coach Yo, giving back to The Bahamas is more than a mission, it is a responsibility rooted in gratitude. As she often says, she was once “a little girl from The Bahamas” with “a dollar and a dream” who was given an opportunity to succeed.
Proud of her Bahamian heritage, Coach Yo has remained committed to creating opportunities for others.
Following Hurricane Dorian in 2019, she established the No Ceilings with Coach Yo Foundation to support relief and recovery efforts throughout The Bahamas. Since then, her impact has continued to grow through initiatives that support women and youth through education and sports.
Inspired by her belief that there are no limits on what can be achieved when opportunity meets determination, Coach Yo continues to invest her time, resources, and platform into the country she proudly calls home.
Through every program, partnership, and act of service, she is helping the next generation of Bahamians pursue their dreams and reach their full potential.

On June 4, 2026, she will return home as the Commencement Guest Speaker for the University of The Bahamas North Spring Ceremony. A proud daughter of Freeport, Grand Bahama, she will share her journey from a young Bahamian with a dream to one of the most influential leaders in college basketball, inspiring graduates to pursue their futures with confidence and purpose.
